One-day intensive training for academic staff will provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the capabilities of high-performance computing (HPC) and their application in the field of image processing. The training is funded by the European Union.
The training will present modern algorithms applied to both classic image processing tasks, such as image classification, object detection or semantic segmentation, and more complex tasks, such as motion detection between frames, 3D scene creation from images or generation of new images.
During the sessions, participants will learn how to effectively optimize image processing algorithms in an HPC environment by combining computing resources and algorithm parameters.
They will also be given the opportunity to practically test various image processing algorithms and assess their resource needs.
The training will be led by:
Prof. Dr. Agnė Paulauskaitė-Tarasevičienė – an expert with many years of experience in the field of AI;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tautvydas Fyleris – an expert with many years of experience in the field of AI, computer networks and HPC;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andrius Kriščiūnas – HPC and cloud computing specialist and AI practitioner.
You can find the training program here .
SVARBU!
Upon arrival at the training, participants must have their own computer.
